1.22.15    Today someone told me that they'd be more successful than me, because we were having a conversation about jobs and our future. They know I am striving to be a freelance artist, and they know how it's basically the only thing I see myself as becoming.        Someone else told me that I couldn't make it if I tried. I retaliated with saying I know plenty of artists who have made it and they said only if you're lucky. I brought up the fact that if/when I get married my spouse would support me and they said and I quote "And if you marry an artist I guess you'll starve".    This remark in particular made me extremely infuriated.
